Galactooligosaccharides (GOS) is stable to high temperatures and pH, have excellent solubility, low caloric value and are well suitable for use in many different human foods and animal feed applications. In the U.S. the ingredients have GRAS regulatory status, are approved as FOSHU (safe) in Japan, and can be included in the dietary fiber content of foods.
